"Quo Vadis, Aida? - The Missing Part": Help Us Complete the Film
The camera has stopped rolling, but the film is not finished yet.
“Quo Vadis, Aida? - The Missing Part” is the new feature film by Jasmila Žbanić, produced by Deblokada Sarajevo, and a continuation of the award-winning film “Quo Vadis, Aida?”.
Set in the post-war period following the genocide in Srebrenica, the film follows Aida on her journey from hope to truth, from loss to the search for justice. Through Aida and the women of Srebrenica, the film speaks about dignity, memory, resilience, and the universal struggle of women who refuse to remain silent in the face of injustice.
After an extremely demanding production process, the shooting phase has been completed. This was made possible thanks to the support of individuals, partners, and the wider community, who stood behind the project when support was most needed.
The film is now entering the editing phase, which will last for the next six months. A film is truly completed in the months that follow the shoot - in the editing room, through careful work, reflection, and the shaping of the story into its final form.
Your support at this moment helps us keep this process moving and ensure that the film can be finished with the responsibility and dignity this story deserves.
Udruženje "Društvo umjetnika Deblokada" Cilj projekta
The goal of this campaign is to support the editing process of “Quo Vadis, Aida? - The Missing Part”. The film has already passed through its most demanding production phase. What remains now is to shape the filmed material into a completed cinematic work and cover the costs connected to the six-month editing process within the Bosnia and Herzegovina side of the budget. Through this campaign, we aim to raise 100,000 KM to help ensure that the film can be finished to the highest possible standard.Izazov
“Quo Vadis, Aida? - The Missing Part” is a complex international co-production with significant artistic, production, and financial demands. Although a major part of the budget has been secured through international partners and co-production structures, the local financial responsibility has been difficult to close fully. The film has now entered the editing process, a crucial phase that will define its final structure, rhythm, and emotional strength. This stage requires continuous work, time, and financial support. At this stage, the main challenge is no longer the shooting itself, but ensuring the film is completed responsibly - covering essential costs such as travel, studio work, accommodation for the editor, administration, rough cut, and test screenings in cinemas, translations.Rješenje
